Nettle is used in skin care products as a nourishing, anti-inflammatory agent that soothes irritation, reduces itchiness and controls oiliness. When used in hair care products, Nettle reduces scalp irritation, nourishes the scalp and hair follicles, stimulates circulation and promotes healthy hair growth. Tea tree aids in easing itchy, dry scalp and dandruff and normalizing oily, fine hair. It is the perfect refreshing shampoo bar. Remember all our shampoo bars also work great as a head to toe bar, too!
Unlike most shampoo products on the market today that are loaded with synthetic fragrance, sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), or unhealthy preservative chemicals this Siena Soaps Shampoo Bar is 100% Au Naturel.
This bar is great to use on camping adventures as it is lake safe (like all our bars) and is TSA Approved for your carry on for that weekend getaway. This shampoo is great for dreadlocks too!
To help this bar live its longest life, please store on a soap dish and let it dry in between uses.
Our shampoo bars are all natural and contain nothing artificial:
No parabens. No SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate) or other hidden forms of SLS. No fragrance chemicals. No chemical preservatives including parabens. No sudsing chemicals. No harsh chemicals that destroy hair fibers. No petroleum by-products. Not tested on animals.
All of our shampoo bars are extremely gentle and are safe for use with color-treated or permed hair. For best results we suggest a rinse of Apple Cider Vinegar (1 Tablespoon of AVC to one cup of warm water) or lemon juice be used once or twice a week when using our natural shampoo bars.

How to use:
Our shampoo bars are free of any synthetic colorants or preservatives and are scented with 100% pure essential oils. Made with the finest vegetable oils and butters, our shampoo bars also have the benefit of minimal packaging – there are no plastic bottles to recycle or throw away.
To use the shampoo bar, simply "comb" the bar from the top of your scalp to the bottom several times. Next, work the lather through your hair – you'll be surprised at the amount of lather – and then rinse as usual.
If you have regularly used commercial shampoo and conditioner, your hair may have collected chemical conditioners that will tend to weigh your hair down over time. This "buildup" on your hair may take several shampoos to strip off and can initially cause your hair to feel sticky, stiff or just YUCKY! This YUCKY hair syndrome can be immediately taken care of with a simple rinse of vinegar. Use a vinegar or lemon rinse (1 - 2 tsp. of vinegar in a cup of warm water - we use apple cider vinegar) for one to two weeks. Use as a rinse after shampooing and leave it in for several minutes, then rinse. Some people like to leave it in for extra body and shine. The vinegar smell will go away once your hair is dried. Within one to two weeks you will have beautiful, shiny, healthy hair.
Many of our customers continue to use the clarifying vinegar rinse once or twice a week as a regular part of their hair care routine.
Remember - like all of our artisan soap bars, please make sure your bars stay HIGH and DRY between uses. They last the longest if they are stored on a well-drained soap dish.

Disclaimer: Is a good sunscreen all I need to stay safe?
No. Sunscreen can only provide partial protection against harmful effects of the sun. Limiting sun exposure and wearing protective clothing are even more important when it comes to protecting against skin cancer and premature skin aging. Be extra careful about sun exposure between 10 am and 4 pm since the sun’s rays are the most intense during this time of the day. When using sunscreen, make sure you apply it generously 30 minutes before going outside and reapply it often — at least every 2 hours. Even the best sunscreen won’t work if you don’t use it correctly.
